10 Places to Find a Christmas Tree Near Charlotte

You can have a tree just as nice as the North Carolina red spruce chosen to be displayed at the U.S. Capitol.

Harvested from Pisgah National Forest, the 78-foot red spruce named Ruby will grace the lawn of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. this holiday season, WBTV reported.

Why it matters: Washington seems to be partial to Carolina-grown trees. Last year, an Ashe county farm grew a tree displayed in the White House.

From Charlotte to the North Carolina mountains, here are ten tree farms to check out on your hunt for this year’s Christmas tree.
